CARE FOR YOUR HORSE

LET’S TALK

I want to get to know you and your horse - why are you reaching out?

  • Let’s sit down and get to know one another! We can complete the formal paperwork to further our conversation

  • I want to see how the horse is in their natural environment observing them in the pasture and/or stall to perform a standing or natural movement assessment while in a calm environment

  • Let’s get the horse moving…find a lead rope or lunge line and view the horse moving at all gaits for a movement assessment

  • We’ll proceed by taking the horse back to stall, wash rack or comfortable environment for the horse to begin the work

  • I will take some notes, engage in conversation with owners/trainers and other allied providers and make some professional recommendations including frequency of sessions

WHAT IS EQUINE MANUAL THERAPY?

Manual therapy organizes the layers of connective tissue creating comfort and performance for the horse.  This method identifies root causes while addressing associated symptoms.

We all have a shape and form to us, it’s whether that shape and form has caused a lack of ease in the system and needs healing or the original shape needs to be restored.

It’s my aim to create fluidity and comfort to have better shape, form and movement resulting in less discomfort. This allows natural movement patterns to emerge and in general, better behavior and performance no matter what the horse is doing - in a training program, a show horse or a backyard best friend.
